Tia Leverett, LM, CPM

Tia Leverett, LM, CPM is a Licensed Midwife & Certified Professional Midwife licensed through the North American Registry of Midwives, raised in and practicing in Palm Beach County, FL.

At a young age Tia knew her career would involve caring for expectant mothers and babies. She’s always held a strong belief that pregnancy and birth are normal life events. Working with women & their families from early pregnancy until 6 weeks postpartum has confirmed for her that the childbearing journey is a spiritual, physical, emotional and empowering experience. When women feel informed, respected, supported & safe, they are capable of creating for themselves the experiences & outcomes they’ve hoped for.

Tia attended and graduated from the Florida School of Traditional Midwifery in 2018 after deciding to stop teaching and return to her passion of childbirth. While in school she had the privilege of being trained under the wisdom and instruction of 5 skilled and amazing midwives at a busy birth center in South Florida, that also offered home birth services.  She has provided care to many families in the tri-county area.

Tia believes it’s a privilege to be trusted to provide care as a midwife. This trust comes with a duty to practice in a way that is respectful, safe, compassionate, and empowering. She believes strongly in the midwifery model of care, physiologic birth, informed consent and shared-decision making. She maintains certification with the American Heart Association in Basic Life Support and CPR for healthcare professionals (AHA BLS), and neonatal resuscitation (AHA/AAP NRP).

When not practicing Midwifery, Tia can be found spending time with her family and friends, at church or traveling.

Additional Midwife

Dellareece Bastain, LM CPM

Dellareece was born in the Bahamas. Her love for Midwifery began long before her training. With her gentle and calming spirit, she was always asked by family and friends to be there with them when they went into labor. Patiently coaching and cheering them on through these moments gave her the pleasure of knowing that those women are now empowered to be Birthing Warriors. In 2006, DellaReece began her journey by attending and graduating from the International School of Midwifery. Her love for caring for women is as equally balanced as her love for her children, plus two adoptive ones and 8 grandchildren.
